Finally Everything Felt Right

You said you were sorry about that day in the commons
And finally everything felt right

You turned your eyes away with that
‘I wanna look but don’t know if I should’ look
And finally everything felt right

With you down in the commons, and me up on the bridge,
You tried to pull the ‘I’m not lookin’ at you,
I’m stretching’ move
And finally everything felt right

You sitting with your friends and me sitting with mine,
You casually smiled at me,
And finally everything felt right

You walked by me, brushed up against me, smiled and said
‘Hey.’
And finally everything felt right

You added me to your buddy list and said,
‘I’m waiting for you, see you on AIM’
And finally everything felt right

You AIM’ed me and I felt the rush that people feel when they’re nervous, happy, scared, and excited all at once and finally everything feels right
